Our Boats

The fleet includes the David Thomas designed Sigma 41, a powerful yet sea kindly fast cruiser/racer used in races such as the Fastnet and Round the Island Race, and the Beneteau First 33.7 designed by the naval architect team Berret/Racoupeau. Both boats comply with all the safety requirements of the RYA and the MCA, have undergone significant upgrades and are in excellent condition and well presented Ideal for Sailing lessons.

Shogun (Sigma 41)

Onboard there is a shower/heads, a domestic oven/hob and space for 10 to sleep comfortably. The boat has a classic interior and homely feel. All smoke detectors and gas alarms are tested regularly, and these procedures will be run through with students on boarding the boat.

There are two showers and plenty of space store bags and dry wet clothing. Meals will often be eaten onboard and all crockery and utensils are onboard as well as the use of the full extendable dining table.

On deck there are plenty of sails, 1 spinnaker, a cruising shoot, storm jib, No 1, 2 and 3 furling genoas, a brand new main sail as well as a spare delivery main. Shogun is well equipped with 12 deck winches and plenty of space for sunbathing! The helm wheel helps the boat to be a lot easier to handle in heavier weather.

Aragorn (Beneteau First 33.7)

A more modern boat, the racier Beneteau has a light and airy interior with lots of storage for bags and provisions and comfortably sleeps 6. There is a bathroom with shower and normal galley equipment.

Aragorn is a tiller helm allowing a great feel for the boat, accuracy and improves skipper’s good reflexes for racing. She boasts a Dacron main and furling jib, both symmetric and asymmetric spinnakers, storm jib and a full set of carbon Kevlar main, genoa 1, 2 and 3.
